A word about Probiotics and infertility in women.

What are probiotics?

  • Probiotics are bacteria that do the body good.
  • They help balance the good bacteria against the bad ones in the digestive system and in the vagina.

Lactobacillus and vaginal health

Lactobacillus is a beneficial group of bacteria, and it is found in abundance in a woman's vagina. Keeping Lactobacillus in balance there helps prevent infection and holds the acid–alkaline balance of the vagina in good condition.

Lactobacillus and the health of the womb lining

A healthy womb lining matters a great deal for pregnancy, and Lactobacillus may help support the health of that lining too. Taking a probiotic that contains Lactobacillus may encourage the richness of the womb lining, making the chance of pregnancy higher.

I hope this is of use to women who are planning a pregnancy, and that it helps you all stay in good health.
